These Adidas boots are a pretty rare model that only few professional players, ten in total worldwide aside from Lionel Messi, had the honour to wear. The model is called “Messi 15”. Back to 2015 Adidas was looking to the future as ten of world’s best young footballers were recruited to join Team Messi and wear his signature boot, the “Messi 15”, in all competitions of the season. After installing the Argentinian as the first player to receive his very own boot – the “Messi 15” – Adidas have hand picked ten young players from across the world that they were tipping for greatness and in turn are being ‘Backed’ by Messi. As part of the ‘BACKED BY MESSI’ campaign, these ten players updated the world on their progress by filming their own content for a series of episodes on the adidas Football YouTube channel. The Team Messi recruited: Robert Kenedy, Maxwell Cornet, Jeremie Boga, Accursio Bentivegna, James Wilson, Timo Werner, Aleksey Miranchuk, Gyasi Zardes, Marcos Lopes and Khiry Shelton.
