This is an original Frank Meisler sculpture given to the A.C. Milan team by the Shakhtar Donetsk F.K. team to celebrate the Champions League game between the two teams which took place in Donetsk, “Sachtar Stadium”, on November 6th 2007.  Milan defeated Shakhtar 3-0. The day before the Champions League’s games it is typical for team’s representations to have gala dinners where they usually gift each other of typical products and gifts coming from their countries. This is the sculpture’s award that Shakhtar gifted to A.C.Milan prior the Champions League in November 2007 and it is a very special sculpture made by the world famous sculptor and architect Frank Meisler. Frank Meisler was an Israeli architect and sculptor who is well-known worldwide for this kind of sculptures as visible below where he is gifting Prince Charles with a very similar one and all his artworks go for several thousands Euro worldwide. It is a gold and silver rotating sculpture representing the globe mounted on a black marble base. Where Donetsk is located on the sculpture there is a precious stone with “Donetsk” written on. Several other Russian inscriptions are engraved at the bottom of the globe. “Frank Meisler” logo on the base makes this piece a very one-of-a-kind sculpture. The top is openable and there is a look alike steel’s base inside, since the steel business is very important in the city of Donetsk, and there is a rotating half ball with a soccer ball on one side and the Shakhtar Donetsk’s logo on the other side. This sculpture comes from a very important A.C.Milan team member who decided to auction it.
